Biography
Prof. Raj Srirajaskanthan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at London Bridge Hospital and King's College Hospital. He is Honorary Professor of Gastroenterology at King's College London. He was previously the Clinical lead of Gastroenterology at Kings College Hospital.
He is well-experienced in all aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology. In 2010 he was awarded an MD (Res) from University College London following breakthrough clinical research into gastrointestinal tumours, including neuroendocrine tumours.
He is a nationally accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist and deputy director of the King's College bowel cancer screening centre. He is accomplished in endoscopy and colonoscopy and has attended several advanced endoscopy courses. In addition, he was awarded British Society of Gastroenterology travel fellowship to The Medical University of South Carolina, USA.
He is the Director of the Kings Health Partners ENETS Centre of Excellence Neuroendocrine tumour unit. He has a specialist interest in neuroendocrine tumours running both clinical and academic research units.
He is currently on the Executive Committee of UK & Ireland Neuroendocrine tumour Society. He is a trustee of Neuroendocrine Cancer UK. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the European NET Society.

He previously served on the NHS England Clinical reference group for hepatobiliary diseases between 2015-19.
His interests are in luminal gastroenterology with major clinical interest in dyspepsia, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, altered bowel habit and irritable bowel syndrome. Managing patients with postoperative gastrointestinal symptoms.
He is still actively involved in research and runs an academic programme at Kings College London. He has published in numerous journals. He presents at both national and international meetings having won multiple awards, prizes, and travel grants for outstanding work.
He has written and edited 3 textbooks, on liver disease and neuroendocrine tumours. He has co-authored book chapters for 10 other books, developed teaching modules and online educational articles.
